Recycle Your Newspapers
Orange County – Recycling is required by Orange County Code. Orange County has a two-bin recycling program. Recycling service is provided once a week. If you are a resident in unincorporated Orange County and you need to find out your recycling collection day, you may access collection days and hauler information online. Seminole County – The Seminole County Solid Waste Management Division offers residential recycling collection service to all households in the unincorporated Seminole County area that participate in the curbside collection service.

The following items ARE accepted in the curbside recycling program:
- Pasteboard (i.e., cereal boxes, empty paper towel and toilet paper rolls, soda boxes, beer boxes, tissue boxes, gift boxes, pizza boxes and shoe boxes)
- Brown paper grocery bags (no wax, no wet strength material, no liners)
- Corrugated cardboard (flattened and cut down to no larger than 3 ft. by 3 ft.)
- Newspaper, supplements, magazines and catalogs
- Plastic #1-7 (#’s on bottom of containers) Remove all lids
- Glass bottles and jars (clear, green and brown) Remove all lids
- Aluminum cans
- Steel cans and tin household containers, such as food cans
- Telephone Books
- Christmas Trees (only during end of year, check announcements & calendar for acceptable times)
- Please rinse out all containers and discard lids
These items ARE NOT included in the curbside recycling program:
- Plastic bags
- Motor oil or pesticide containers
- Light bulbs or drinkware
- Aluminum foil or pie plates
- Paint or pesticide cans
- Electronic devices
- Egg cartons and styrofoam trays
Volusia County – Who receives service from Volusia County?
Residents should place their recycling bins with recycling materials at the curb by 6 a.m. for pick-up on their scheduled recycling day.
Stuff left in your bin?
Materials that mistakenly have been placed at the curb for recycling will be left inside the recycling bin. If you have questions regarding materials, please contact your waste hauler or Volusia County’s Solid Waste Division at:
- Single-family dwellings on less than 10 acres
- Multi-family dwellings up to four units
- Unincorporated Volusia County
Residents should place their recycling bins with recycling materials at the curb by 6 a.m. for pick-up on their scheduled recycling day.
Stuff left in your bin?
